Vivify Health & Chiropractic | People & Philosophy
The Vivify philosophy centres around the principles of biomechanics, which brings a unified approach to freedom of bodily movement—and freedom from pain.
We combine our expertise in chiropractic and biomechanics with nutrition and supplementation recommendations that are formulated to support the treatment we provide for you.
Our focus is on providing you and your family with the most efficient recommendations, so resumption to life’s activities happens as quickly as possible. And we don’t set unrealistic care plans that demand unnecessary time and money.
We work with you to create a valid, effective, attainable treatment plan that will benefit you both physically and circumstantially.
We appreciate that your needs and choices around managing health are very personal and we can only make progress according to what you’re comfortable with taking on. And that’s completely fine with us.
Every person has varied responses to chiropractic and health care, so we learn from you as you learn from us. Between our careful analysis of your spine and skeletal composition, combined with your body’s responses to treatment and the verbal feedback you offer, we’re able to obtain new insights as to how we best keep you in top condition.
We’re always upfront about whether we can genuinely help improve your health issue. We also understand that some bodies have limitations to work around, so we offer professional advice on how best to manage life around them while still achieving a fulfilled, healthy and happy life.

Meet owner and chiropractor, Dr. Iain Hennessy
Dr Iain began on his chiropractic path at age two when he was adjusted as a child. Always the active, curious (and somewhat competitive) one, his subsequent fitness pursuits covered some serious terrain, including competitive gymnastics, cycling, triathlons, and snow and water skiing.
Iain’s extensive experience in assessing human biomechanical function was initially developed through the combined studies of chiropractic and exercise science. He holds a Double Bachelor’s degree in Chiropractic, and a Diploma in Exercise Science and Fitness Management. His 5-year double degree was capped with an Honours achievement, accompanied by awards for top student in physical rehabilitation and Dux in his graduating year.
The Vivify Health & Chiropractic clinic sits next to Lords Recreation Centre, where Iain also runs Les Mills group fitness classes. He has an avid following as a fitness trainer and has a knack for getting even the most unmotivated of class participants to break a sweat! This evolved to him becoming a national Les Mills trainer for fledgling fitness instructors, an international Les Mills presenter for RPM and Les Mills Sprint™, and now the program performance coach for RPM™ with Les Mills Asia Pacific.
Needless to say, he’s incredibly competent at identifying anomalies (and competencies) in human movement. And this is why his knowledge is both sought after and highly respected.
Iain is also a clinician at Murdoch University where he oversees and guides students of chiropractic in their final year of study.

Meet Dr. Georgie Neaves, Chiropractor
It was Georgie’s origins in sports science that ultimately led her to the chiropractic profession, although she knew from a young age she wanted to care for people in some way.
Her studies took an inspiring turn after she met a chiropractic student during travels at the time. That single conversation was enough to sow a seed of intrigue, eventually compelling her to switch from sports science to chiropractic.
Georgie is particularly interested in the psychological impact of pain on the body, which ties nicely into her belief that good health incorporates a multi-factorial, broad understanding of one’s body and mind.
Inquisitive, vital and upbeat, Georgie loves to explore different activities that keep her healthy and allow her outgoing, positive nature to thrive. Running, yoga, Pilates, mini-golf, ice-skating, mosaic-making… be it indoors or out, she’s one for seizing the moment and giving new things a go.
Being a proactive and dedicated health professional, Georgie believes that regardless of age or ability, you can improve your health at any point, and is wholeheartedly committed to improving life quality for every person she treats through chiropractic care.
Now meet our feathered ‘therapists’, Monkey and Otis
The healing nature of animals can’t be denied. Our lorikeets don’t adjust spines, but they’re willing to run their chirpy commentary on all the goings-on at Vivify. You simply can’t frown when they’re around! That’s why they’re loved and valued by us and everyone who visits—and they’ve overcome some hardships too. Read their stories below…
Monkey
In 2013, Monkey fell from his nest in Perry Lakes Reserve. If it wasn’t for the crows attacking him, our good doctor Iain may not have spotted him as he was driving to the beach. Iain bolted to save Monkey only to find him in a pretty bad way, with most of his head feathers plucked and his frightened little body punctured and bleeding.
Dr Iain cared for him over the following days, with a near loss of his life due to hypoglycaemia. Iain persisted in getting him to eat and was finally able to squeeze grape juice into his beak. It was just the elixir of life he needed! Since his recovery he’s not stopped climbing, talking and whistling. Cheeky Monkey, indeed.

Otis
Because of the indelible mark Monkey has made in the Subiaco community over the years, Otis also came to share his life with the Vivify team. We get calls when someone finds an injured bird, and this so happened when a patient discovered one while they were out walking the dog.
Also a baby Rainbow Lorikeet, Otis had fallen from his nest and broken his foot in the process. We nursed him back to health over a few weeks and he became super tame and friendly. Otis (as we named him) was going to be adopted out, but the family who were to take him on were unable to. So, Otis staked his claim on Vivify ground too!
Now they both come to Vivify every day and share their bright and cheeky birdy joy with everyone who visits.
